Benefits of Early Morning Workouts During the Hot Summer Months

Most people really start to get motivated to work out when the weather changes from winter to spring.  It becomes apparent that swimsuit, shorts, and tank top weather is just around the corner.  Let’s face it, spring is perfect for working out.  It’s not too hot and not too cold.  Mornings and evenings are brisk, while afternoons are warm.  You have your choice of weather that you can workout in.  But then the days start to get warmer and warmer and hotter and sunnier.  Even if you workout in a gym, the thought of getting hot and sweaty in a gym, just to walk out to your hot car, just isn’t very appealing.

Even if you are not an early riser, try getting up at daybreak a few times and go exercise.  You may just love it.  It’s going to be the coolest part of the day by far and you will enjoy your run or walk far more than later in the afternoon.  Working out early in the morning will also set the tone for the rest of your day.  It will set your mood and start your day out right.

Working out in the morning has also proven to make you feel more energized during the day.  It will also regulate your appetite for the day and make you more prone to making healthy eating choices for breakfast and the meals or snacks that follow throughout the day.

It may be difficult for some people to start making the switch to early morning exercising , but making the switch will be well worth it.  Before you know it, your body will be adjusted and you will become addicted to the healthy and energized feeling you have throughout the day.  Early morning exercising is also easier because there are few excuses to not get up and do it.  Take advantage of the cool morning air during those hot summer months.  It will change your day for the better!
